We also translate the documents such as a referral.

　“Aichi Medical Interpretations System” is a service for foreign residents with language barrier, which provides dispatching of interpreters, telephone interpretations and text translations.
Dispatching of Interpreters – Medical interpreters with more than a certain level of knowledge and interpretation skills who were trained with the help of the prefectural universities, will be dispatched with the request from the medical facilities. Available languages are English, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish.
Telephone Interpretations – Operating for 24hrs 365 days, providing support when there is no time to dispatch onsite interpreters for the situations such as first time medical examinations, during night hours or break times. This service can be used by a phone call from hospital staff and is also available in Korean apart from the above four languages.
Text Translation Services – Referrals etc. for other medical facilities are translated by medical interpreters upon requests from the medical facilities.

These services are available only to the medical facilities which have an agreement with Aichi prefecture.

◎ If you go to the medical facilities without a reservation, a telephone interpretation may be available, but an interpreter cannot be dispatched.
Onsite (dispatch) interpretation is well suited for the cases listed. Therefore, please consult our office at (050-5814-7263) for reservations, for onsite (dispatch) interpreters, if the matter is not urgent.

・When the contents are difficult or thorough counseling is required
・If the patient does not understand Japanese at all
(One has to move around quite a lot in side the medical facilities of Japan; Reception→Waiting Room→Examination Room→Payment(→Pharmacy), it will take a very long time if this process is done through the telephone interpretation. Further, if the patient cannot read the sign boards, it will be very difficult for the patient to move according to the instructions.)
